Sustainability is an ethos entwined with Vilshenko. It is a value first instilled in founder and designer Olga Vilshenko as a young girl, through seeing her mother mend clothes and repurpose fabrics or cut-offs. This mindset continues to frame each collection. Every item of Vilshenko clothing is made to endure. Through timeless design and exquisite quality, each piece is designed to be treasured and worn through seasons and years.
We produce our collections in limited quantities and all of the fabrics used to craft designs are natural and, where possible, organic. Vilshenko consistently and carefully monitors our supply chain to ensure we use only the highest quality fabrics from sustainable sources. Our collections no longer feature real leather or suede and we use only sustainable faux fur in our designs.
The health and well-being of the workers and local economies where our designs are made is just as important as the materials used to craft them. We employ factories in India, Nepal and Europe. We regularly take steps to ensure that the factories we work with follow local regulations and labour laws and that workers are treated well.
